FOREVER FRIEND DOODLES PET ADOPTION SERVICE

As a committed Golden Doodle breeder, we pledge to uphold the highest ethical standards in breeding and rehoming, prioritizing the health, well-being, and lifelong happiness of every dog. Our commitment encompasses:

Parental Assessments

  • All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health screenings relevant to Golden Doodles, including but not limited to OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) assessment for hips and elbows, eye examinations (CERF/OFA Eye Certification), and genetic testing for conditions prevalent in Golden Retrievers and Poodles, such as progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), von Willebrand's disease, and Ichthyosis.

  • Temperament is a critical factor in selecting breeding pairs, ensuring parents possess stable, friendly, and appropriate dispositions for family environments.

  • Breeding dogs are of appropriate age, with females not bred before their second heat cycle and males not before reaching full maturity, to ensure physical and emotional readiness.

Puppy Health & Early Care

  • Puppies receive thorough examination within their first few days of life and regularly thereafter, ensuring robust health and early detection of any potential issues.

  • Dewclaw removal performed at an appropriate age (typically 3-5 days old) to prevent potential future injuries and complications, unless a specific veterinary reason dictates otherwise.

  • Puppies receive their starter vaccinations (typically Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza) at the recommended ages by a licensed veterinarian, with complete vaccination records provided to new owners.

  • Regular deworming protocols will be strictly followed from a young age (care transferred to new owners)

Environment & Socialization

Puppies are raised in a clean, stimulating, and enriching home environment, exposed to various stimuli including sights, sounds, and textures from an early age to promote confident and well-adjusted personalities.

  • Crucial family environment socialization is prioritized, with puppies regularly handled by adults and children in a gentle and positive manner.

  • Socialization with other healthy, vaccinated, and well-behaved pets, introduced gradually and under close supervision to foster appropriate inter-species interactions.

  • Early introduction to crate training and basic potty training principles is initiated at six weeks facilitate a smooth transition to their forever homes.

Rehoming Policies

Prospective owners undergo screening process, including detailed applications and match interviews, to ensure they can provide a loving, responsible, and lifelong home.

  • New owners receive comprehensive information on Golden Doodle care, including dietary recommendations, exercise needs, grooming requirements, and ongoing training advice.

  • A legally binding contract will be used for all adoptions, outlining the breeder's commitments, the new owner's responsibilities, and a spay/neuter agreement (unless specific circumstances dictate otherwise).

  • I commit to being a lifelong resource for my puppy families, offering support and guidance throughout the dog's life.

  • Should any unforeseen circumstances arise, I will always take back a dog I have bred, ensuring no Golden Doodle I produce ever ends up in a shelter or rescue due to lack of a home.
